The Aftertaste of Kool-Aid

He was a fool, a money chaser

with penny eyes and thin skin.

He sold his integrity for a liar’s promise

politicians would pour gold into the rust belt.

He ignored every song had a dance, every leap

a come to Jesus if bottom was a deflated balloon of hot air.

Hung by his ignorance on a conspirator’s flag, he cried foul

when he was caught in his own trap.

  5. We are emerging from an abusive relationship - yet it is astonishing how many millions believed the con, and how his enablers sacrificed country for career. I will be glad to see the last of 2020.

  6. Penny-eyed, thin-skinned, duplicitous, narcissistic, greedy, power hungry and hopefully gone, but I fear he'll spend the rest of his days getting even.

  7. Good for you, Susie's writer. They all have it coming to them, some just excape for a time, long seems mostly. Did you have someone in mind?

  8. Great take on the pic, Susie. Too many with power have pennies--or benjamins--for eyes, and seem oblivious to the devil's bargain they have contracted, while we are left stranded with a deflated balloon society and a pack of damn lies.

  9. Love this, Susie. The thought of those penny eyes makes me cringe.
