Middle of Nowhere

Love drugged me with a heart high,
but when the stars crashed, there
wasn’t a rehab in Arizona
to make me whole again.
Now I’m out in the middle of nowhere
trying to get the dream out of my skin.

  1. She'll have quite a job to kick it. Better to kick start that bike and fly like a bird and breath in gorgeous lingfulls of air. That is very intoxicating. Loved the poem, Suzie :)

  2. You and your closing lines, Susie. You are the mistress of them. I really love this, as it tells a whole story in a few words, and makes me feel right along with her. I've been out there far from home--in all senses of that phrase--just as most of us have, and this really brought it home to my heart.
